Well said.  Wish I could take this guys Tumblr post and post it on every FB page of the same narrow-minded individuals he’s talking about who have crossed my path with their stupidity.

The guys at Willall Racing have come under fire over the past few days over the internet, because of this photo after a crash at the Mount Alma Mile hillclimb in South Australia.
A lot of naysayers are saying things like “how DARE you track such a car” and other misguided rubbish. Reality check. It’s a car.
Owner Martin Donnon said it perfectly:

The unfortunate part is constantly having to answer questions about it. The facts are -When you race cars sometimes they crash, and if they are going hard its a big crash. Then sometimes they catch fire and burn well if there are no marshalls around. This car did both of the above……..so………we bought a new one. While its a fairly major kind of incident it has definitely upset those that have never sat in/never driven/may never own an R35 on the Internet much more than it has upset us. Strange world we live in, but thats the facebook generation living their lives 10 keystrokes at a time all looking for their free moment of glory on the web.

What would you keyboard warriors rather do with such a car? Slam it an inch off the ground? going around showing off to your friends with your matching Jordans 6’s and snapback of an NBA team you don’t go for, and call people “haters” when they criticise you?
Yes kid, how dare Willall Racing use a GTR for the purpose in which it was largely designed for. How dare they indeed.

(no offence intended to those who do have their cars an inch off the ground. I love low cars. But there are some among us, they are a minority however, who seem to be extremely narrow-minded. The beauty of our collective passion is diversity, and some have lost sight of that).

having a discussion on the forum. i thought this was relevant.
One of my better rants if i do say so myself.

Studies have shown that emotional tears contain more manganese, an element that affects temperament, and more prolactin, a hormone that regulates milk production. Sobbing out manganese and prolactin is thought to relieve tension by balancing the body’s stress levels and eliminating build ups of the chemicals, making the crier feel better.

This has always been my mantra.  Whether I was conscious of it or not (at least not until now), it’s how I have lived my live.

I love getting any advice on saving money or where I’ve been wasting mine.  I don’t care how rich I may/may not be or become, I want to save what I can when I can.  :)

As much as I’m not a girlie girl, I absolutely love flowers.  Carnations and tulips are my fave, but daisies are a close follow.

I’d have to agree with Chels.  I’m the SAME.EXACT.WAY.  Which really sucks now that I’m in Italy for five months with all my friends and family in varying states in the US.  I could be talking to someone in CA one minute, then someone from VA pops up, then someone in TX comes along, too.  Whew.  Thank God for this site, and thank God Chels posted it.  Thanks, Chels!!!!!!

Every Time Zone, A Visual Time Zone Calculator

Oh. My. God. FINALLY.
Let me tell you something: I have real trouble with time. I can’t reliably read an analog clock, I almost always have an incorrect feeling for how much time has passed in any given period, and I have the hardest time (no pun intended) with time zones.
As a journalist, I’m often calling people all over the world, and the amount of time I have lost to correctly figuring out their current time probably adds up to weeks at this point. (But who am I to tell? I already told you I’m terrible at these types of estimations.)
I never trust those online calculators where you punch in your time and select the city you’re looking for the corresponding time in, because I did that once and it didn’t take into account that country’s differing version of Daylight Savings Time (another thing I have a real problem with) and I totally missed the call.
Part of the problem, I think, is that I’m really visual about stuff involving numbers. I can’t hold it all in my head. Which is why I will bookmark this website and never let it go. I will write love poems to it and sing it Otis Redding songs at the end of the day. I will bring it a special heart-shaped cookie on the weekend, just because I feel like it.
